Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

As a crazy cookie lover, I’ve been searching to find the perfect full no-fail chocolate chip cookies recipe. Wonderfully decadent, and loaded with chocolate flavor when you bite into it, and also a perfect mid-day snack for your kids. Here is an easy-to-make chocolate chip cookies recipe for you.

What You Will Need to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Flour: I recommend using unbleached, all-purpose flour to make these chewy chocolate chip cookies.
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips: I prefer using semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips for this recipe but you can just use a chopped chocolate bar instead to get the best chocolate puddles.
  • Butter: I have used melted butter in this recipe. The melted butter gives a perfect chewy texture to the cookies.
  • Baking soda: Baking soda acts as a leavening agent in cookie dough.
  • Baking powder: Baking powder helps the cookies rise and spread.
  • Salt: Add salt to balance the sweetness.
  • Egg: Eggs add fat and structure to the baked goods and help them rise.
  • Vanilla extract: Vanilla adds sweetness and flavor.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • With an electric mixer, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on high speed for 5 minutes, until light and pale.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract and eggs and mix to combine.
  • Sift together the salt, flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  • Using a rubber spatula, fold to incorporate.
  • Finally, add chocolate chips and fold them into the dough.
  • Use an ice cream scoop to shape cookie dough and place them 3 inches apart on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes until set, but not hard.

Why Are My Cookies Dry?

These cookies are soft and chewy with slightly melted chocolate chips. Take care of the baking time and oven temperature. The longer you bake them the crunchier they get. Adding a little corn starch to the flour mixture keeps the cookies soft and chewy.
