A Ham and cheese sandwich is one of those snacks that most family members like. This is not all! Ham and cheese sandwiches are ready in less than 30 minutes, so you can easily make it during the week. So let’s see what are the ingredients of this sandwich and how is it made?

This ham and cheese sandwich is ready in less than 30 minutes and can be a delicious lunch for you. All you need is a few slices of bread, a few slices of ham, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, mustard and pickles.

 

Customize the Ham and Cheese Sandwich to Your Liking

There are different types of ham and cheese sandwiches, but the basis is the same. In all of them, cheese, ham and bread slices are the main ingredients. The type of bread and cheese used to make sandwiches can be to your liking. White bread, sourdough bread, whole wheat bread and even croissants are some of the options you can choose from. I used cheddar cheese in this sandwich, because I really like the strong taste of this cheese in sandwiches. Another option you have is Swiss cheese.

 

What You Need to Make This Sandwich

  • Bread slices: You can use any bread slices you’d like here! White bread, sourdough bread, whole wheat bread and even croissants are some of the options you can choose from.
  • Cheese: Thinly sliced cheddar cheese is in my opinion the best for this sandwich.
  • Mayonnaise: Usually, a little mayonnaise or mustard is rubbed on the bread to complete the taste.
  • Butter
  • ِDill pickles or potato chips can be served as a side dish.

 

How to Make Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Place the sliced bread on the counter or kitchen table. Cover one side of the bread with a thin layer of mayonnaise and mustard. Pour a little butter into a non-stick pan and let the butter melt over low heat. Place the bread slice in a non-stick pan (with the mustard side facing up). Top with 3 slices of ham. Add the cheddar cheese slices.  Then place the remaining slice of bread on top. Cover the pan with the lid and cook for 5 minutes until the underside is golden brown. Turn sandwich and cook for another 5 minutes. Now the cheese is melted and our crunchy sandwich is ready.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices whole-wheat bread
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices of ham

Instructions

Step 1
