About This Recipe

Banana bread is classified as a quick bread. Quick bread is called quick because it does not call for yeast as a leavening agent. The dough does not need to rest at all and it is often baked in a loaf tin. Quick breads themselves are divided into two categories, sweet and savory. The raisin walnut banana bread recipe belongs to the first category, which in addition to its sweet taste, also has a soft and moist texture. This recipe is a family favorite. It makes incredibly moist banana bread packed with cinnamon and tons of sweet raisins and toasted walnuts.
