The cantaloupe is a juicy, orange summer fruit that belongs to the same plant family as pumpkins and cucumbers. You can make a variety of desserts, cool drinks, and fruit salads with cantaloupe. Here is a healthy and easy cantaloupe orange smoothie. I’m sure that it will jump to the top of your favorites.
What You Will Need for Cantaloupe Orange Smoothie Recipe
- Cantaloupe
- Sugar(optional)
- Fresh mint leaves
- Orange juice
Instructions
- Pour all the ingredients into the mixer and give a few pulses until it is completely smooth and there is no large piece of fruit inside.
- You can also add a few pieces of an ice cube or sparkling water, which I did not do. Pour the drink into a glass and serve cold.
How To Pick a Ripe Cantaloupe
It has always been difficult to pick out a sweet and red watermelon, a ripe and sweet cantaloupe melon for me. Considering a few points, it is safer to buy these fruits. As for cantaloupe, its peak season is between June and October. Look for a cantaloupe with yellow veins (close to green or creamy yellow) running across the rind.
Remember that these veins should not be completely green. If you come across a part of the cantaloupe that is lighter than the rest of the skin and has no veins, do not leave it aside. This means that part of the cantaloupe was on the ground. Look at the skin of the cantaloupe well to see if it is black or damaged. The cantaloupe you want to buy should smell good and sweet.
