The world of coffee and the drinks that are made with coffee is endless. These drinks are each made in a different way and have different flavors. One of the flavors that goes great with coffee is cookie butter. If you also like coffee and cookie butter, then do not hesitate to make a lotus Biscoff latte and have fun with your family.
About This Recipe
I love mixing coffee with different flavors and making lattes. Vanilla cinnamon latte, pumpkin spice latte, caramel latte, and cardamom rose latte are some lattes that I like. Now is the time to try Biscoff latte with cookie butter. Combining coffee flavor with spicy and rich, with a deep caramel flavor. Sounds great, doesn’t it? The steps are exactly the same as making the rest of the lattes and are not very complicated.
What Do You Need to Make Lotus Biscoff Latte?
What’s in a Biscoff latte? Biscoff latte is a coffee drink made with Biscoff cookie spread, espresso, steamed milk, and foam. There’s nothing easier than this!
- Espresso: It is best to use freshly brewed coffee. If you have an espresso machine, you will not have hard work. However, if you don’t have it and you don’t want to miss drinking Biscoff latte, you can also try other coffee alternatives, you can use the coffee you brew with a moka pot or french press!
- Biscoff cookie spread: Combining coffee flavor with spicy and rich, with a deep caramel flavor.
- Milk: You can use dairy milk or non-dairy milk for this latte. I usually use full-fat milk for a creamy latte.
- Sugar: Cookie butter has a mild sweetness. If you want the latte to be sweeter, add 1 tablespoon of sugar.
- Biscoff cookies for topping
How to Make Lotus Biscoff Latte?
In a small saucepan, add milk. Heat on the stove until steam rises. (Do not boil it.) Then froth milk as usual. How to froth milk? Use a simple milk frother! A milk frother is a device commonly used to make foam on beverages such as milk and coffee, and you can also use it as a small mixer.
The first thing you need to know is that the milk you choose must be fresh, do not use milk that has been refrigerated for several days because you will not get the result you want. Whole milk gives you better foam, of course, you can also use low-fat milk and kinds of milk such as almond milk and soy milk, but the result is better with whole milk because it has more fat and this helps to form foam.
Add 1 tablespoon of Biscoff cookie spread and sugar to a glass cup, then add 1 shot of espresso and stir until cookie spread is dissolved. Finally, add the milk and milk foam. If you want to know the ratio between coffee, milk, and milk foam, I have to tell you that ratios are like this: 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 cup espresso, and 1/4 cup milk foam. Top with crushed biscoff cookies.
